Dan Sullivan

Dan has been umpiring softball for 11 years with USSSA. Over the years he has umpired in a wide variety of tournaments, ranging from Men’s, Women’s, Law Enforcement, Military and Mixed. He has also attended the National Umpire Clinic in 10 of the 11 years he has umpired. He was presented the Northeast Umpire of the Year Award at the Divisional Meeting in January 2009. 

Dan had been a player prior to becoming an umpire. When he was a player, he took note of what he thought the umpires could do better and promised himself that he would keep that players perspective. He tried to focus on his performance so that the players would ask to have him there on Sunday. This has led to the respect of many players and coaches, and their requests for him to umpire their games.
