Mark Thomas
Male Player - Presented by Tippy Martinez
Mark is one of those rare gifted athletes who looked like he was always having fun and what led to his nickname of “Cuckoo”. But when it came time to play the game he was all professional about his play. He also appeared to have a strut in his game especially when he made a great play of which there were many. He also played on many winning teams including Central Mass Lawman–Clinton, MA; Laser vision/TPS–Greenfield, MA; Liquid Blue–Plainville, MA; Thermco/Easton–Yarmouth, MA; National Gold–Warwick, RI; Beloli Heating–Taunton, MA; Sonny’s Car Wash–Everett, MA; Air Transit–Montreal, Que; Brien Oil–Haverhill, MA and Lakes Region Greyhound Park–Laconia, NH. Mark has played 32 years of softball with 26 in USSSA Programs and Tournaments over his long and still on-going career. He is a lifetime .700 hitter and always plays great defense. His enthusiasm for the Game of Softball is one that we should all take in our daily lives and in everything we do.

Mark has said that his favorite events in Softballwere being a member of afour-time (in a row) Law Enforcement World Champions. Mark also told us,ever being the philosopher and not so Cuckoo at that, he believes that you havethree types of friends: friends for a reason, friends for a season and friends forlife. He boasts of many of the later and that theyhave been there for him whenhe was on top and also when he had stumbled and wason the bottom.
