Tim was also part of the National Gold team that was honored at the 2017 Hall of Fame ceremonies with the Team of Distinction Award.
Tim’s most exciting time came in the summer of 2015. Tim had major back surgery in 2014 and he wasn’t sure if he’d even be able to play again. After months of therapy, he made it back onto the field in July of 2015. Later that year, his team won the RI States and he was named the Tournament MVP. Later that summer, his team won the Men’s 40+ World Series in CT and was named Tournament MVP.
Tim loves that he has played with guys from the age of 19 to over 50. Over the years, he has seen the the game become an ultra-competitive, crazy-fast sport that’s become a great combination of athleticism, finesse and power. It seems 100mph faster than when he started. He sees fantastic camaraderie around everyone who play
"There are a lot of personalities, characters, rivalries and friendships that keep things extremely interesting and entertaining. I’m happy to say that over the past 25+ years, I’ve met some of my bestfriends thru softball who are now like family. We’ve attended each other’s weddings, children’s births and even our family & friends funerals together. Softball has been very amazing and important to me.”
